2 Ashnods Altar There are a few Altars in Magic, like Phyrexian Altar and Altar of Dementia, but no other provides as much raw mana as Ashnods Altar
It tells the tale of the planeswalkers Worzel and Thomil as they fight with various summoned demons and bears, and doesnt do much to describe the plane itself beyond being a nice, exotic setting for the story at hand
To me, this seems obvious, but based on some of the conversations I've seen on Reddit and social media, a meaningful number of Magic players don't see it this way
So lets dive in and see how rare these cards are, especially compared to rarities of sets past, as try to figure out whats worth it and what isnt
