It was purchased from the estate sale of a multi-generational family of artists near Boston

and could be useful for storing all sorts of little things

are a great example of the work of Marianne Suda

as is its traditional purpose

Antique Pewter and Glass Hip Flask box with stone I found this wonderful sculptureWhat could be better for a camping trip, hike, or really most any outing than this flask filled with good whiskey? Dating from around the late 19th century, I believe, and presumed British, this handblown glass flask likely once had a leather or perhaps wicker cover over its top half, which is now gone, but the glass is quite thick and I'd guess would not shatter very easily, and the pewter top screws on nice and snug. The flask measures 6 1 2" inches
