I'd love to know what all this old document box has held

a beautiful

6" tall x 6" wide with handle

I imagine it was constructed from bits of scrap wood left over from making other things

I think never used

Of course I like the old creamy white paint, too, which appears to have covered an earlier coat of dark red, peeking through a bit on one short side. The lid opens with a little pressure, with a metal latch to keep it tightly
